Three vampire siblings trapped in a graveyard makes for solid entertainment and a whole lot of mayhem. However, although we were prepared to be moved to tears by their intense interactions, we were definitely not ready to part ways with the one and only Rebekah Mikaelson during The Originals episode 16. As happy as we were to see her fulfill her lifelong dream of driving off into the great unknown to start fresh, our spirits were crushed. We wallowed in the miserable emptiness that usually follows when you have to say goodbye to a friend or loved one without knowing when you’ll ever see them again. The “always and forever” motto the Original siblings lived by for the past centuries thus became void, and viewers worldwide had to come to terms with the realization that Elijah and Klaus will no longer have their sweet sister in their midst. Still, despite the hurt, sometimes change is necessary in order to make progress, and in the words of Klaus, “perhaps it’s time for a new story.”
That said, before we move forward, we’re going to take one last look at the last few moments Rebekah, Klaus, and Elijah shared. Below, you’ll find 25 riveting quotes from The Originals Season 1 Episode 16: “Farewell to Storyville.” Enjoy!
